Cathedral of Joy loses court bid in Hazel Crest case

US District Court upheld a magistrate ruling against the Cathedral of Joy Baptist Church in Flossmoor. The village denied a special use permit in 1988 and the church filed suit in 1990, alleging civil rights and constitutional violations. The church may appeal.
