Suburban Composting owned by Richard Ipema sought IEPA approval and a county denied a required special use permit. IEPA decision due by mid March.

Murdered boy's mom charged in 8 month old death
Yvonne Mighty 17 year old Matteson woman charged with first degree murder in the Dec 13 death of her 8 month old son Shahon Mighty. Andrew Driver 22 charged earlier. Mighty bond set at 750000, Driver at 1 million. Shahon died from child abuse and blunt trauma at Cook County medical examiners report shows. Driver dated Mighty since July. Two months prior he had spent a month at Christ Hospital Oak Lawn.
