Matteson residents push to ban hunting near homes
Linda and Robert Wilk watched geese and other wildlife from their Maple Brook property when six hunters in camouflage fired near their home during goose season. Neighbors say the 100 yard rule is inadequate and local officials consider tighter limits or an outright ban as Cook County officials weigh changes to hunting law and village control.
