River Grove dogs lost after Thanksgiving escape
Alaskan Huskies Sheba and Brandy vanished from River Grove after doors were left open around 1 p.m. on Thanksgiving. They were driven to Chicago Ridge’s Animal Welfare League and later adopted out, with officials refusing to identify new owners. The Anderson family searched 15 miles around, contacted police stations and shelters, and posted fliers, but no word until new owners were found and declined to reveal details. The case raises questions about the League policy on disclosing adoptive families.
