State closes welfare agency amid alleged financial problems
Park Forest based Positive Institute of Personal Social Services shut by Illinois DCFS after investigators seize 200 case files and terminate the contract. Cobbled finances include $62,000 in questioned expenditures and a prior $30,000 theft by a former employee. Executive Director Iantha Johnson blames political motives while asserting no wrongdoing.
