Committee forms to choose district scholarship recipients
A committee of six residents plus chairman Robert Furnace will decide annual scholarships in the 80th District. John Ostenburg, a Park Forest Democrat, aims for equal opportunity by awarding four one-year University of Illinois awards and four one-year awards at other state universities each year. U of I awards usable at Chicago or Urbana campuses. First-year scholars may compete for a second year based on grades.
