Illinois PTA Scholarships Funded for Future Educators
Regional Superintendent Rich Duran announced that 22 Illinois PTA districts will offer 33,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing education or related certification. One 1000 and one 500 award per district will be available through high school counseling offices beginning January 15.

Will County Forest Preserve adopts dog waste ordinance
Will County Forest Preserve District commissioners approve a new ordinance requiring dog owners to immediately clean up feces on district property and dispose of waste in an approved sanitary manner. Exemptions apply to seeing eye dogs and law enforcement canines. Fines range from 50 to 500 dollars, effective January 1, 2000.
