Greens School battle drags on with annex dispute resuming
The Greens of Olympia Fields dispute with Rich Township District 227 over annexation lengthens after the 1st District Illinois Appellate Court sends the case back to Cook County Court. In 1998 Judge Madden had ruled residents met requirements to send their students to Homewood-Flossmoor High School, while the appellate ruling confirms they may seek annexation to district 233. The Greens homeowners Association attorney calls last week’s ruling not a setback, noting the appellate decision supports meeting annexation requirements.
