GSU Students Demonstrate Elementary Science Unit
Governors State University education students in the College of Environmental and Applied Sciences taught a science methods practicum for fourth and sixth graders at Matteson School District 162 in Park Forest from December 4 to 15. They guided tests on powders such as sugar salt starch and baking powder observing reactions with water iodine and vinegar and heating. Students then analyzed a mystery powder mixture to identify the components using the same tests.
