Police reported numerous incidents across Chicago Heights and nearby towns including thefts, drug charges, assaults, and burglaries. Individuals named include Derrick Griffin, Dana Thompson, Edward Stewart, John Jones, Terry Lee, and Maurice Bird among others, with events spanning street robberies, home break ins, vehicle thefts, and DUI arrests.
Police say a bouncer tried to end a parking lot scuffle at Priscos Lounge in South Chicago Heights around 3 a.m. December 18. Timothy Bounds and Daniel Bish face mob action and weapon charges. Bish allegedly cut a bouncer with a six inch knife. Victim treated at St James Hospital. Suspect car stopped at East 34th and Wallace as officers arrived. M Raymond Sims charged with DUI drugs trespass vehicle speeding and license.
A man identified as Anthony Ward, 33, was charged Tuesday with trespassing in a Hemlock residence after driving under the influence. Police say Brandye Jackson, 17, of Irving Place, and Latasha Leonard, 17, of Landau Road, University Park, allegedly punched two women at Arbor Trails apartment complex.
Antoine Smith 26 of Chicago 6638 S Hermitage charged with disorderly conduct and resisting a peace officer after police were called to an IHOP at 172nd and Halstead around 3 30 AM Saturday. Antonio Smith 24 allegedly pushed the manager amid the dispute. he faces aggravated battery to a police officer battery and two counts of resisting arrest after a struggle in the restaurant parking lot. The table bill was paid by others at the restaurant. Jack Habich 51 of Villa Park charged with DUI failure to signal improper lane use and driving with a suspended license after a stop near Tie and Halsted. Morga nes 28 of 290 W Center Avenue cited.
