In Lockport a foster mother Mickey Haldeman and eight SOS Children’s Village families create a warm Christmas scene. The homes, built beside a silo and barn, provide stable care for 41 youngsters rescued from fraught foster care. Children decorate a tree and enjoy family moments together.
Christine, grandmother to three, receives a Project Share food basket that feeds her 11, 8, and 6 year old grandchildren and provides extra meals for her extended family. She thanks supporters while noting the family’s earlier hardships and housing instability. Project Share aided 2,600 families this year through local agencies amid ongoing poverty challenges.
