Two Sauk Village youths plead innocent in carjacking case
Johnnie L. Blackman aged 17 of 21901 Jeffrey Avenue and Antoine G. Rhodes aged 17 of 2105 218th Street pleaded innocent at a Cook County Circuit Court hearing in Markham. They face charges of vehicular hijacking for allegedly stealing a car at gunpoint from Wendy's 17200 Torrence Avenue on October 30, forcing three others from the vehicle. They are held on $150,000 bonds with a Jan. 12 court date.

Michael Cole, 19, of 1061 Amherst, Crete Park, was charged with two counts of battery after allegedly striking two female students at Crete-Monee High School following an altercation over comments about him on a local radio station. Police said Cole was taken to the Crete police station.
