Former motel worker indicted in Crestwood murder case
Special to The Star reports that Christopher Richee, a 31 year old Burbank man and former Hampton Inn handyman, was indicted on first degree murder, home invasion, residential burglary and burglary in Nan Toder's 1995 murder. The case stems from a crime scene at 13330 S Cicero Ave where Toder was found beaten and strangled. Prosecutors cited circumstantial evidence and an ongoing undercover investigation. The Toders, traveling in Kansas, expressed relief at the indictment and renewed calls for hotel safety accountability. The hotel declined comment.
