Richton Park Library seeks back door tax levy to fund needs
Richton Park library district proposed a back door tax levy effective September 17 unless 10 percent of last election voters sign petitions. The levy would raise about 6000 annually, funded by 0.02 percent of district property value, to cover building and maintenance while the district seeks a better location as usage has surged since 1975.
