Pace plans expansion of paratransit services in suburbs
Pace suburban bus system moves to broaden ADA special services with a new registration and certification process. About 25 residents attended a mid year ADA meeting at Flossmoor Village Hall to hear about past six months and future plans. Pace reports a 56 percent ridership increase in Q1 1993 with 54,611 total riders and 38 percent using wheelchair lifts, while attendants added 2,876 rides. If funding is approved by the RTA, late weekday service could run until 11 pm or later in some areas starting Oct. 1, with expanded hours and new certification procedures overseen by RTA and Pace officials.
