Save Odell Station on Historic Route 66 plans
Odell Preservation Committee launches Save Odell Station SOS to restore the 1932 Standard Sinclair station listed on the National Register. A May 15 Route 66 Cruise Fun Day and Poker Run will raise funds starting 10 a.m. at Odell station with prizes at 4 p.m. Proceeds fund restoration.

McClellan Named Interim Dean at Governors State University
Larry McClellan, director of the South Metropolitan Regional Leadership Center, is appointed interim dean of the College for Extended Learning and Communications Services at Governors State University while a permanent dean is sought. He previously taught at GSU in the 1970s before leading St. Paul’s Community Church in Homewood. He plans to return to SMRLC once a permanent dean is named, likely in June.

No more free golf says Schumann at meeting
