South Suburban College hikes tuition and fees
The Board of Trustees raised tuition by $2 per credit hour starting summer term from $45 to $47, adding fees and appointing Katie Jackson Booker to the board. The plan aims to boost annual revenue, offset a deficit, and stabilize finances while implementing a hiring freeze and cost controls. The college opposed Senate Bill 549, favoring ICCB oversight within IBHE.
