About 100 onlookers watched as the burning building was subdued after thirty minutes of effort. It is unknown if she will recover. Separately Roanoke officers captured Edward Atkinson in a local hotel this morning during a manhunt for a fatal Keystone murder. He was found hidden in a trunk and claimed the man he cut may be dead.
A lumber schooner ran ashore on the eastern shore of Fisher's Island early today near New London Connecticut. The sea is calm and the crew is believed to be in no danger.
