Father Sees Auto Kill Daughter in Washington

In Washington D C nine year old Marie Nussbaum stepped into the street to answer dinner summons and was killed by a taxicab driven by William Sinnet. The driver said he could not stop in time as Marie stepped in front of his car. Marie died at Emergency Hospital.Witnesses and neighbors described the scene as the taxi dragged the girl a short distance. The driver was held overnight as coroner's inquest planned.
