Commander Sims Injured In Atlantic Gale

Lieut Commander William S Sims of the Bureau of Navigation was aboard the American Line steamer Philadelphia sailing from New York April 29. A May 2 gale threw him to the deck causing a fractured collar bone and other injuries. He will likely remain in hospital about five weeks.
