Pittsburg special report says three men clung to railroad bridge ties as a fast passenger train passed overhead. Two escaped harm, but Samuel Sardine was knocked from the Bessemer and Lake Erie Bridge at Turtle Creek, plunging about 50 feet to the ground where he died.
Dover Delaware special report says Dr Marvin, father of four year old Horace Marvin missing from his home for over two weeks, left $1000 in gold with a bank cashier as a reward for the boy’s return.
Fayetteville report states Tom Walker, a Black suspect, was tried and convicted of murder in the first degree for the March 2 slayings of Chief of Police Chason and Officer Lockamy. He received a death sentence set for April 15, with troops withdrawn after 24 hours of precautionary deployment.
