Old Doctors Hospital to be razed for redevelopment in Perry Twp
Robert Gessner and GSRE LLC plan to demolish the defunct 193,000 square foot Doctors Hospital at 420 Austin Ave NW on 9.25 acres. The building has stood empty since 2008 after merging with Affinity Medical Center. Gessner led a purchase of the property for 490000 and will oversee demolition, property restoration, and sale initiation.

Tim Cash Massillon said he was driving to Las Vegas from Los Angeles when he heard it on the radio and saw the last tower collapse. Alison Blondheim Massillon recalled learning at Republic Steel’s Cold Finish Plant and listening to the radio in the nurse’s station. Cheryl Morena Jackson Township cried on her porch after hearing of the attack while Kathy Madigan Orrville stood before her kindergarten class as the announcement came guiding teachers to report to the lower hall and prayers were offered.
