Death in Barn Reveals Sudden Heart Disease

John Welschbaugh a 50 year old junk dealer was found dead in a Clay street barn Thursday morning. Coroner Harry March held an inquest and ruled heart disease caused the death. The body was moved to John & Doll's undertaking rooms. brother Joseph survives. Funeral plans unavailable.

Miller Limbach wedding at First M E Church

Miss Edna M. Miller daughter of Mrs Susan Miller wed Mr Melville G Limbach in a 5 PM ceremony at the First M E church parsonage officiated by Rev H W Dewey. Bride's sister Mrs Harry Yost was matron of honor and Mr Yost best man. The couple will reside at 169 Wellman Street after a trip to Cleveland.

Memorial Arch at State House to Feature Water Fountain

Work has started on the McKinley Memorial arch at the west entrance of the state capitol grounds. A hearty water vein was found on site and a drinking fountain will be installed, with a well eight inches in diameter providing a fine stream for drinking. The project may revise some plans but aims to serve visitors and the building.

Funeral for Leo Von Kanel Held in Massillon Cemetery

Funeral services for Leo Von Kanel were held Friday at 10 a.m. in Massillon Cemetery, conducted by Rev J E Digel. Arrangements were made by Ulysses Von Kanel. The body, shipped from Cleveland, arrived earlier that day and was taken to Abel's undertaking rooms before burial beside his father. Ulysses described eight years of infatuation with Miss Edna Brandeburg and the family noted several siblings and a sister.

Hall Memorial School Closes After Principal Resigns

Hall Memorial School for colored children has closed. Principal Misa Frances Riley resigned and left the city. Trustees aided pupils for a week. Trustees sent three pupils with a mother to Dayton for placement. Mother will care for the three girls and seek homes. Furniture and fixtures were attached in a janather court for a considerable sum.

Halloween at the Massillon Hospital for State Patients

Halloween at the Massillon state hospital will feature a vaudeville program in William McKinley hall with hospital staff performers. The event, first of the winter series, aims to entertain inmates and friends and lasts about 90 minutes. Superintendent H C Eyman travels to Columbus for state discussions as annual reports near completion.

Railroad Smash-Up Near Roanoke Claims Two Dead

A Norfolk and Western Shenandoah division collision thirteen miles north of Roanoke today killed two men and left several others trapped under wreckage. Fireman Jennings perished after being pinned by debris. rescue efforts continue with the death toll feared to rise.

Dalto Ali Killed in Mindanao Clash

Manila report says Captain Frank R. McCoy of the Third Cavalry surprised Dalto Ali killing him his son and ten followers. Forty three Moros were wounded and captured. Three Twenty second Infantry soldiers died and two were wounded. Dalto Ali had been killing Moros allied with the government.

Massillon Mines Opened and Production Surges

The Massillon Coal Mining Company has thirteen mines in the Massillon district, with ten in daily operation and output near two thousand tons daily, potentially three thousand. The Klondike mine near North Lawrence was emptied last Saturday, and Mine No. 1 near North Lawrence becomes a major new producer, with a four thousand ton storage siding nearing completion. The district mines, including J. F. Pocock and J. H. Somers, are in full operation, and selling through M. A. Hanna Company in Cleveland amid rising prices speculated for November 1.

State of Panic Grips St. Petersburg Amid Rioting

Rioting swept Reval during the night and left St. Petersburg in a state of panic this morning. Theaters and shops were looted, streets deserted, and a widespread fear of continued violence. The Finland railroad cut the last link to the outside world, water communication remains, telephonic lines to Moscow are down, and the city lies isolated with soldiers present.

Bank Robbery at Hagerstown Turrets First National Bank

Richmond, Ind., Oct. 28. Robbers opened the First National Bank at Hagerstown at 1 a.m. and escaped with about $4,700. Authorities searched for the criminals, with details sparse but the heist confirmed by local officials.
