The 104th Regiment O V I and Battery C O V V L held their Canton reunion with over 150 veterans. Massillon was chosen as next site, dates August 22 and 23, with C L McLain and others elected to lead. Officers urged complete member registers and noted eleven deaths in the past year. A campfire, music, and tales marked the close of sessions. Battery D V V L also held a Canton reunion. next gathering set for Cuyahoga Falls September 20.

Organized farmers seek cooperative control of prices
Indianapolis October 18. The American Society of Equity, a three year old national farm group, aims to affix a common price for farm products and may seek affiliation with the American Federation of Labor at its October 23 national convention here. Secretary Tubbs says farmers can fix equitable prices by united action and cites tobacco, cotton, and wheat growers as organized examples. Some farmers still sell at mismatched prices.

Death of Karl F. Erhard former Massillon resident
Karl F. Erhard a Massillon native born 1844 died October 10 at 116 Alanson Street Cleveland. He worked with Schmidt & Hoffman in Cleveland and owned a Massillon brewery at Millport with Robert Schimke. He later ran an artificial ice plant, then coal mining with Frank Kohl at Uhrichaville before settling in Cleveland. He left a widow and children Vlasta, Claude, Lada, Sylvia and Milada.

Lebaudy dirigible makes first ascent in war test at Toul
The Lebaudy dirigible balloon, backed by the war office, rose with engineers and officers for a reconnaissance from Toul to Nancy, reaching about 655 yards and 30 miles traveled at 28 miles per hour. It passed Fort Vendreville and Haye forest defenses then returned to Toul where it landed amid cheering troops. Photos and inspections noted wartime value.
