Massillon levee to receive 22 million in upgrades
The U S Army Corps of Engineers will repair and enhance the Tuscarawas River levee in Massillon following heavy rains. A $22.5 million award, routed via Representative Bob Gibbs, funds planning and construction to improve about 15,900 feet of levee with a concrete wall, four pump stations and three gates, from Lake Avenue NW to Finefrock Road SW, with work slated to begin next year.
