Two Immense Girders Shipped For Railway Bridge
The Massillon Bridge Company completed the heaviest iron girder ever made, weighing 45 tons, 105 feet long and about ten and a half feet high, for the C and P Railway near Wheeling. A second girder of similar size is finished and ready for shipment.

Accidental Shooting Near Charity Rateh School
Albert Lambert a 15 year old boy was accidentally shot in the right side while hunting in a wood near Charity Rateh school at 1 30 this afternoon. A colored boy named Myers was with him. The wound is serious and may prove fatal. Lambert is from Trenton Michigan and has been visiting the city for a month. The revolver reportedly discharged while in Myers hands.

County Fair Averages Strong Crowd Despite City Attendance Shortfall
Crowds swelled at the county fair with the largest country representation in the fair association’s history.
