The parties are not to be closer than second cousins as previously required.
John Mitchell and T W Dav plus M D Ratchford met in Indianapolis to crown Mitchell as likely UMWA president, with Davis to fill the vacancy. San Francisco November 26. The battleship Wisconsin was launched at 9 30 am at Union Iron Works. The 11 525 ton vessel is over twelve hundred tons heavier than the Oregon. Its indicated horsepower is 10 000 and the main battery will comprise eighteen guns.
