Tragic suicide of 72-year-old Finley McGrew found in barn

Finley McGrew aged 72 was discovered Friday morning hanging from a haymow rafter at 118 East South Street. Police say evidence points to self-inflicted death after repeated melancholia and fears of aging. wife, daughter Mrs. H. W. Elsass, and son-in-law Mr. Elsass corroborate deteriorating mental state. Body to be interred in Canal Fulton. last seen Thursday planning a trip to Cleveland.

First National Bank of Puerto Rico Organized

In an interview with RE L Arnold the Times reports the First National Bank of Puerto Rico is organized under U S banking laws and supervised from Washington. It will be a depository for government funds and has the right to issue currency to such funds.

County rejects all bids for infirmary women's cottage

Canton Ohio November 15 county commissioners reject all bids on specifications for the new women's cottage at the county infirmary after weeks of consideration. Hinsey Expelled by Illinois Knights of Pythias

Chicago reports the Illinois grand tribunal unanimously expelled John A Hinsey after a nearly weeklong hearing. Hinsey, retired from the endowment rank headship last year, has appealed to the supreme tribunal to meet in Indianapolis next February. The supreme lodge suspended him pending action. The endowment rank has paid about $500,000 in overdue claims and holds nearly $200,000 cash on hand.

Mrs Minnie Hammond and Mrs Mary J Longworth of North Lawrence appeared before Justice Sib ila in a case charging assault and battery. Longworth pleaded guilty and was fined ten dollars and coats. Hammond displayed bruises and alleged the injuries were caused by an ear of corn used as a weapon.

Tuscarawas Township Justice of the Peace upholds his stand on fines in a fish and game case. Squire Weiler refuses to pay Deputy Game Warden Dangereisen the $25 fine for John Berlin for possession of a rabbit carcass before season. In Beach City the brick work on Edward Schlafly’s new building is finished. Interior carpentry starts Monday and occupancy is expected within two weeks. Unknown Man Buried After Unclaimed Death

John H. Kane, hospital patient who died November 7, will be buried today. No relatives have appeared to claim the body. Authorities in Massillon and Steubenville have made efforts to locate friends. An unidentified well dressed man, once a Steubenville hotel guest, was declared insane and sent to Massillon hospital.
