Suit for Partition Filed Over Massillon Farm
Hershey Bowman of Massillon has begun a partition action in Canton against multiple defendants including Pocock of Walnut Indiana and other Bowmans. The 105 acre tract northwest of Massillon, valued around $8,000, is sought to be sold with Bowman’s share paid. Lawyers Eggert and McLaughlie filed the papers Thursday morning. A Wife Beater Caught by Canton Officer Wissmar
John Viehmann was arrested by Officer Wissmar at the request of Canton Marshal Reed after brutally beating his wife who initially appeared fatally injured but is expected to recover. Viehmann, employed at the Dueber works, boards at the Melbourne Hotel in Canton and had separated from his wife who lives on West Eighth Street. He is described as insanely jealous and forced entry into her apartments after seeing her with two men. He was taken to Canton this morning.
