Davis Debt to Grow as Canton State Bank Crisis Deepens

Four Killed At Nickel Plate Crossing Near Louisville

Louisville Ohio May 26 Four members of the Monnier family and Mrs Howells and her daughter Emma were killed when a Pennsylvania passenger train struck their two seated surrey at Nickel Plate crossing one mile east of Louisville. The accident occurred shortly before 10 o clock at night as the party returned from a visit. The bodies were badly mangled and the horse was killed. Funeral services for Mr and Mrs Monnier will be held at St Louis Catholic church and burial will be in St Louis cemetery. The Howells party may be sent to South Bend Indiana for burial.

Parsons death body moved directly to Urbana cemetery

In the Parsons case the body was removed straight from the Erie train at Urbana to the cemetery. Mrs Parsons’ relatives refused a funeral at the house, and an uncle of Mrs Parsons traveled to the city to accompany the body and confirm the direct transfer to the cemetery.

Foul Play Talked Of In Parsons Death Case

Summit county officials doubt the coroner’s verdict of death by own action in the Harry Parsons case. Parsons was found dead in his room at 203 Water Street likely from carbolic acid. Witnesses place Mrs Parsons awake after 6 am and a roomer saw her washing at 4:25 am, prompting further inquiry before a post mortem. The body rests in Urbana, and the coroner will decide after consulting the prosecutor.

Chicago building trades withdraw support from teamsters

Russian Fleet Sighted Near Korea Straits

Tokio reports Rojestvensky's fleet sighted off the Tshushi Ma islands in the strait of Korea. A British steamer to Hongkong says on May 24 forty five Russian vessels were seen a hundred forty miles southeast of the Saddle islands, most coal wagons empty as the fleet steamed northward.
