Massillon Operators and Miners Hold Joint Wage Scale Talk

A joint conference between Massillon district operators and miners opened with 10 oclock attendance. J C Haring chosen chairman and wage scales debated, with current punching machine mining price 17 cents per ton wide and 20 cents for narrow deemed too low by miners. Afternoon session planned to dissect miners proposal and operator stance.

Wreck on Wheeling Train Hits Passenger Car Near Minerva

A Wheeling and Lake Erie freight train collided with a Cleveland and Pittsburg passenger train at Minerva about 10 o clock Friday. Four men were injured none seriously. The Massillon school district plans a special bond election on April 15 to issue 50000 divided into two parts. Twenty three thousand to refund existing debt at lower interest and twenty seven thousand for school building improvements and repairs.

Fahs Bound Over After Wife Attack Trial

David Fahs was bound over to common pleas court on a charge of assault with intent to kill his wife Eva Fahs following a March 13 attack in West Tremont Street. Mrs Fahs, scarred from the beating, testified he attacked her, threatened to kill her, and attempted to kill their nine month old daughter, while a fire destroyed the home.
