The stockholders meet Friday at 7 30 p m in the mayor's court room to organize and advance the project.
Republican Drive for City Driver Ends in Long Ballot Feud
The Independent reports a prolonged election for the city driver position amid a crowded chamber and heavy interest from applicants. After 205 ballots with no choice, George Curley replaced temporary teller Merwin, as the crowd celebrated with cigars and birch beer while awaiting continuation on page two.

Asylum Bill Likely to Pass. Massillon May Secure Institution
The Silver bill substitute for 8. B. No. 178 would fund an asylum for the insane with an $8,000 grounds appropriation and up to $500,000 for buildings in eastern Ohio. A three member non Eastern Ohio commission would select a site and accept land donations. The measure, seen as essential, is expected to pass.
