It notes a murder or injury incident, a high school goal vandalism, political candidacies, church events and a charity school plan alongside family news and social calls.
Don H. and his wife accompany him as he recovers enough to walk to the depot and attend the Cleveland beach show in a few weeks. Sir Bedivere, famed as well as Don H, is also slated for the exhibition, following Don H s third prize at Westminster in New York. The dog’s health hampered its New York showing, but better conditions may yield greater points. The Rev Asahel A Bresee preached on Christlikeness at St Timothy s and Grace chapel, while Mr and Mrs Bresee visit friends in this city. The Worcester Republican notes the Bresees left for Massillon and Cleveland en route to Johnstown Pa. During three years at St James church the rectorship saw progress and a flourishing parish bequeathed to his successor. The Bresees departure is lamented by parishioners and many friends.
A Sunday night incident near Albright Kessler's resort opposite the Ft. Wayne station led to arrests of Larry Steele, Emmet Dine, and William Walker for disorderly conduct and assault on Officer Ertle. Steele was fined and jailed, Dine fined and kept, Walker discharged after his father paid his fine, Shively and Ware pursued by Canton officers.
An estate appraisal for the late Nicholas Sibila will be conducted by administrator Mathias Ertle as no will exists. The large estate includes a three story Main Street brick building with tenants Henrich & Kohl and H. Hansen, a Jackson township farm, multiple North Mill Street plots, jointly owned Akron Street parcels with M. Ertle, other city lots, book accounts and personal property. Heirs are numerous.
The special train bearing the body of the late Senator Hearst and accompanying escort passed through town yesterday afternoon en route to the Pacific coast. The train included three Pullmans and a combination car with a funeral escort of Senators Stanford Pugh Stockbridge Vance Faulkner Bate Berry Barbour Sawyer and Representatives Clunie McComas Millikin Geary Sherman Tucker Gibson Washington and Cutchings led by Sergeant at Arms Valentine. The Ohio Beneficial Society met tonight in A O U W hall. Local ads note maple sugar prices and Derby hats from Spangler Co. and Martin Vogt.
Robert Campbell a 14 year old East Greenville youth admitted to a crime spree after breaking a rear window of H D Price and Co store to steal cigars. He was kept in a city prison ward but slipped away after prying locks and declaring The world is mine while fleeing to unknown possessions. The incident highlights unusual youth crime in the city.
Canton reports the fifth anniversary of the Young Men s Christian Association observed with services in multiple churches. Also noted are a lawsuits filing, church events, a train accident injuring a boy, industrial injuries, a trust administration, and a marriage license issued to Limaville residents.
