Ohio State Fair shutters 70-foot Kissel's Military Base ride

Ohio Agriculture Director Dorothy Pelanda announced strict action to curb unsafe amusements at the state fair. Kissel's Military Base, a 70-foot wheel with 16 cars, was found corroded and will be dismantled overnight. Four other rides will reopen after minor repairs or paperwork fixes.

Canton Music to close at end of August

Canton Music will shut its doors at the end of August and fold into Music Farm at 4900 Whipple Ave NW while Music Farm opens a second location on Arlington Road in Green this fall. Some Canton instructors may offer lessons at the new site as owner Brian Robinson integrates the stores.
