Oldest Odd Fellow Fahs of Massillon Turns Ninety Two
Fahs, a famed Northern Ohio millwright, is among Stark county's oldest residents and Sippo Lodge’s elder member. He will celebrate his ninety second birthday next Wednesday in Massillon where he built his home after moving here in the thirties. He joined the Odd Fellows under unusual pressure when a creditor advanced his initiation fee, and he rose to lodge leadership while maintaining health and sociable habits despite limited walking after a fall.

German miner dies in Stark county infirmary
Peter Philips a 22 year old German coal miner died at the Stark county infirmary hospital Friday after thirteen months as an inmate. He was injured in a December 1896 mine accident near West Brookfield when a fall of rock broke his back leaving him paralyzed. He will be buried at the infirmary. his friends have been informed but burial arrangements are uncertain.
