Ricks Cleared Impeachment Bid in House Vote

In Washington on January 28 the House Judiciary Committee lacked support to impeach Judge Augustus J. Ricks of Cleveland. Nine to seven opposed impeachment, and a denunciation of the fee system was adopted instead. Four Democrats backed Ricks, while party lines dominated.
