Grand Jury Indictments Highlight Canton Masonic Banquet
Canton Jan. 15 The district Masons meet at the Temple for fraternity business and a three degree exemplification followed by a banquet. The grand jury’s report names multiple indictments including Harrington for horse stealing, Wilson for assault and battery and larceny, Hoeller for obtaining property under false pretenses, Kane for larceny, Moonshower for assault, Quiley for pocket picking, Page for robbery, with additional cases pending public release. Civil actions include Anna Rogers seeking divorce from Elmer E. Rogers on grounds of extreme cruelty. Chub Piero begins a two year penitentiary term for burglary. Harriett Machamer sues for divorce on cruelty and neglect. A suit by Hoffman and Gibbons claims $162.23 against Henry Keller and others over property claims at Mt. Union.
