Salvation Army Christmas Baskets Aid 61 Families

Captain Black and helpers distributed 61 Christmas dinner baskets to the city's most needy families. More than 150 was raised, surpassing the 125 goal, with gifts of candy and a Christmas present for every child. An evening program at the barracks drew 300 attendees and featured music, tableaux, and a clothing drive to begin immediately for warm winter wear.

Christmas Treat at Massillon State Hospital

The annual Christmas program at Massillon State Hospital drew over two thousand patients and visitors in McKinley hall. Vandersall children from Canton presented songs recitations impersonations and dialogues as a large Christmas tree adorned with over two thousand gifts lit by colored electric lights and a bright Star of Bethlehem on stage.

Hospital Staff Plans Gifts For Patients Amid Snowy Weather

Superintendent Eyman listed patients who had not received presents. Staff and attendants contributed enough for gifts. Few Massillonians attended due to inclement weather. Hospital mail volume required an express wagon for deliveries over the past three days. Friday's regular dance will proceed with hospital orchestra.

Christmas services draw large crowds at St Joseph and St Timothy

Crowds fill churches for Christmas programs and Sunday schools on Christmas Eve and Day. At St Joseph’s tenth anniversary mass began 4:30 am with two Jesuit fathers assisting. Emma Zeisler led the choir at 10 am and 70 children sang at 8 am. collection totaled 263.27 dollars. St Timothy’s held an 11:30 pm Christmas Eve service with a moving liturgy and an unusually beautiful musical program.

Fleischer v Bloombergs Jurors Deny Allegations in New Trial Bid

Jurors in the Fleischer Brothers vs H A Bloomberg & Company case deny statements against them as false. George N Snyder says he does not know Coholan and did not make remarks about jury service. He explains a letter found in the jury room was handed to the judge and not used in deliberations. George W Henrich denies profane remarks and calls the charges untrue. Another affidavit links Coholan to the Bloombergs as a brother in law and employee. Plaintiffs will press the motion for a new trial.

Roosevelt’s Answer on Venezuelan Controversy

Christmas at Mapuil Jon state hospital featured a star on the tree, a pig-reinforced barnyard, and gifts from donors. Awful Wreck in Canada at Wanstead

London Ontario December 27 report details a fatal collision near Wanstead between a westbound passenger train and an eastbound fast freight.
