Community Mobilizes After North Lawrence Fire Displaces Family
Aracely Reyes and her sons Edar and Yovani Serrano lost their home in a Wednesday fire at 5678 Manchester Ave NW. By Thursday the North Lawrence Fire Department and eight agencies collected donations of food clothing toys and money at the station and donations were drop off at 4052 Alabama Ave NW. An area real estate company found the family temporary housing while firefighters coordinated aid and the community rallied around them.
