Boy Struck by Toboggan at Meyers Lake
Jesse Hinder, 12, son of Mr and Mrs John L Hinder of 70 Jarvis Ave, was struck by a fast sliding toboggan while bathing at Meyers Lake at 6 pm Wednesday. Doctors fear skull fracture though extent unknown. He remained unconscious, later revived, and was taken home by ambulance. His mother witnessed the accident, expressing foreboding prior to the mishap. Louis Fritz warned him seconds before impact. Fritz pulled the boy from the water, but sank unconscious afterward. The Hinder family has endured recent misfortunes including a dog bite and a tumor operation on a younger brother, and another brother is ill. Mr. Hinder, a teamster for C. L. McLain & Co, hurried to the scene with Dr. Culbertson noting the boy delirious and likely needing surgery. John Shreve sustained a sprained ankle in the ambulance ride.

Died at His Farm Near Massillon Henry Snyder Dies at 47
Henry Snyder aged 47 died suddenly at his farm five miles southeast of Massillon after noon Thursday from heart failure. He visited his daughters Jennie and Julia Snyder in Massillon the prior day and said his health was excellent. Funeral services set for Sunday at Shennan church. He leaves a wife and family.
