A Wednesday fire at the Schriver heirs farm destroyed a large sheep shed storing upthreshed wheat from forty acres, likely worth about a thousand bushels. Lightning struck, setting the shed alight and triggering spread to a nearby barn full of grain. Massillon fire engine arrived in time to save the barn. Three pigs were killed. Tonnage disputes ease, grievances with Ohio Coal Traffic Association to be addressed, and Wheeling plans major Steubenville improvements including a 3000 foot trestle and steel over Williams Run. Work slated to start late September or October.
