A Bethlehem Township couple and their relatives toured Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris moments before a fire erupted Monday evening. Natalie Simmons and Nathan Simmons said they left roughly five to ten minutes before the blaze started while Allyson and Nicolas Szerszen prepared to wed in France. They then proceeded to the Eiffel Tower, about three miles away, and learned of the fire afterward.

Canal Fulton creates first sergeant ranks for two officers
Canal Fulton Police Department adds two sergeant positions for the first time. Patrol officer Sara Wilson and K-9 handler Josh Barabasch will be promoted to sergeant at the City Council meeting.
