Nursing statue outside closed Affinity hospital seeks preservation
Massillon nurses urge preservation of a bronze female nurse statue atop a 1946 cornerstone near the closed Affinity Medical Center emergency entrance. The 3 by 3 foot memorial, part of the former School of Nursing, is intended to be kept intact as alumni push to memorialize the school’s history while transcripts are being processed.
