Death of Hon. R. L. Woodburn A Prominent Marysville Figure
Hon. R. L. Woodburn, a wealthy and influential Marysville resident, died Monday morning at his west Fifth street home from a stroke of apoplexy after a brief illness due to Bright's disease. Born 1843, he served in the Civil War, studied law, and held political and civic roles, including prosecuting attorney, state representative, and active builder of local institutions. He remained unmarried and is survived by siblings. Funeral services were held Wednesday at his home, with Knight Templar and local clergymen officiating. Interment followed at Oakdale.

E G McCann was hurt at the county fair grounds last Wednesday while officiating as a judge. He was struck by a driver scoring a horse, spraining his right foot and ankle and becoming ill. Dr Will Goff and Dr MacIvor provided immediate medical care.

Veteran Soldier Louis Bumbaugh Dies in York Township
Louis Bumbaugh a Civil War veteran born in 1836 in Knox county died Thursday night of stomach cancer. He was taken from Marysville to his niece Mrs. H B Evans home in York township where funeral services were held Saturday at two and interment in York cemetery. He was married to Elsie Baker and had no children. He served in the 82nd O W I and was uncle to Mrs. D C Bolenbaugh of Marysville.

Success at the Union County Fair Near Marysville

Quarrel in White Chapel District Leads to Arrests
James Danson and William Sarver residents of the White Chapel district on east Fourth street were arrested Wednesday night by Officer Schlegel on charges of quarreling and disturbing the peace. Danson pled guilty and paid 35 and costs, $10.35. Sarver pled guilty after a night in jail and paid 5 and costs, $10.65, plus 30 cents for board and lodging. Both fines were settled. both men had been drinking.
