Morris Levey, well dressed, robbed A Lane a Ridgeway blacksmith of $35 on a Kenton to Marysville run. Arrested by Conductor Schwan, later escaped from Kenton jail, then chased with Detective Miller toward woods. Levey, a Hebrew often at fairs, faces charges in Kenton Prospect and Cleveland for thefts.

Marysville Men Champion Fishermen with 15 Pound Trout
Dr O H Thorpe and Peter Schlegel returned with the Buckeye Fishing Club of Columbus claiming season title after catching a 15 pound trout in Ontario's Tamagui river. Bids Move to Redo Pike Improvement Plan
One bid for a one mile pike improvement using carbovia was deemed too high. Welsh & Jones of Marysville bid 74 cents per square yard, about one third above the commissioners’ estimate. Health Officer Dr. Frank Warren of Columbus and L M Copeland head of the filtration plant visited Marysville Friday to inspect the sewerage system. They condemned the present discharge near Dan Longbrake’s residence and urged immediate sewerage upgrades. They cited Millcreek as a polluted water source for Columbus and urged stopping the practice. Late Newlove is visiting his brother Abe Newlove after seven years away, having served five and a half years in the U S Marines aboard the battleship Washington before settling in Toledo.

Drunkenness arrest and court actions in Marysville
Wiley Stansberry was arrested Sunday evening by Marshal Murphy for drunkenness and disorderly conduct. He pled guilty before Mayor Cartmell and was fined five dollars plus costs. Norman C. Bown filed a Rose law liquor charge and Stansberry, remanded after pleading not guilty, awaits September term. He returned from Columbus with two quarts of whisky and induced George Orr to drink. Several witnesses testified. Local calls to curb drunkenness on Marysville streets continue.
