A new venture named the Union County Duroc Sales Association was started Saturday by leading Duroc swine breeders. The group plans a Duroc sale at the county fairgrounds in the fall, date to be announced. W. L. Farrington was chosen president and H. J. Cahill secretary. Several members attended the White Hall Dispersion Sale at Ed. Kelley’s farm near Yellow Springs.

Miss Willa Brown Dies After Long Illness
Miss Willa Brown, 25, died Thursday at her Dover township home after a long tuberculosis illness. She had sought climate treatment in St Petersburg, Florida, last December but did not improve and returned February 11. She leaves her parents Mr and Mrs Wm Brown a brother and a sister. Funeral services were held at her home Saturday at 10 and interment followed at Oakdale Cemetery.

Loveless Returns Home From Hospital After Injury
William H. Loveless, treated nine weeks at Mt. Carmel hospital Columbus for a broken leg, was brought home last week by Jefferson L. Richey. At Ohio Central depot in this city he was moved to his Dover township home in Morey’s ambulance. His family welcomed him back though he cannot perform farm work this year. While Loveless was away, Richey managed his farming interests.

Mrs. Charles L. Kirby of Akron died of blood poisoning two weeks after giving birth to a daughter. She was a native of Akron and lived with her husband and her parents before falling ill. Edward A. Mullen has been confirmed by the U S senate for a second term as Marysville postmaster starting in February 1911. The office receipts rose by about 1000 yearly since he took charge, with wages for staff and carriers adjusted upward.
