A thief entered Emanuel Schalip's residence on the John T Snitzler farm last Thursday at noon while the family was absent. After robbing the home the intruder sat to eat a prepared meal. Taken were a Bulldog type revolver a pair of gloves a $5 pipe and a child's bank. A description notes a medium height man wearing a white hat and light overcoat seen near Homer Douglas's house before entering Schalip's home. Marshal Murphy was notified.

Charles M. Wills a Liberty township farmer pleaded guilty before Judge Brodrick to assault and battery on L. L. Blake a Peoria school teacher.
