Board Wins Bond Suit Against Millcreek Board

Lad Thrown From Horse After Motorcycle Scare
Alonzo Southard six years old son of Mr and Mrs Milton Southard of Milford Center pike was thrown from a horse Wednesday afternoon and badly bruised and lacerated. Doctors Mills treated him as his father rode to a field Roy Robinson on a motorcycle caused the horse to bolt after the machine struck. Robinson escaped with slight bruises and the motorcycle was badly damaged.

Joshua Turner Arrested On Liquor Charge
Joshua Turner a local grocer and restaurant operator near the T and O C depot on Sycamore street was arrested Saturday by Sheriff Price on a probate court warrant charging keeping a place where intoxicating liquors are sold in violation of the Rose county option law. Turner pled not guilty, posted $500 bond for next Saturday’s hearing before Judge Thornton. Authorities allege his son in law Ernest Stump who lives with Turner is bootlegging. Stump was fined last spring. Turner stood good for the sum. Prosecuting Attorney John H Willis filed the affidavit.
