Marshfield churn company announces purchase of patent rights covering three states. Company officials say the acquisition will expand production capacity and enable broader distribution of their dairy churn technology. The deal underscores growth in regional dairy equipment markets and patent asset strategies.
A new Marshfield Churn Company organized by I P Tireult W H Kamps Geo W Upham and A Campbell will sell Buckeye Churns under patent rights in Wisconsin Minnesota and Iowa. Machines 3% 6 40 15 and 20 gallon sizes cost 0 10 15 28 and 20 dollars with hand crank operation and simple end less chain design. Campbell travels to La Crosse for fair demonstrations and local sales promise a rich harvest. Regular church services and community notices fill the rest of the page.
At Mrs Karl Doee’s home last Saturday afternoon the Fortnightly Musical Club and friends enjoyed a recital by Miss Vera Vollmar and Miss Beatrice Erans. Both are talented musicians and the pieces rendered delighted all. The program included works by Schubert Scharwenka Bach MacDonnell Borotski Beethoven with an encore The Coquette. An appetizing lunch followed.
News lists Barney Harkin aged about 65 as dying in Fond du Lac after living in Marshfield until a decade ago. He was brother to Patrick Harkin and cousin to John Harkin of this city. Funeral services were held there this afternoon with Patrick Harkin John Harkin and Mrs Joseph Mertle attending.
The two and half year old son of Mr and Mrs Henry Kreisch died Sunday after convulsions. A coroner’s jury and Justice Andrews investigated. Post mortem by Drs Milbee and Lathrop found nothing conclusive and the stomach was sent to the State Chemist. Joseph Kreisch was born at St. Joseph's hospital during the mother's illness.
The Wisconsin Valley Leader urges impartial selection for the Wood County Teachers Training school site, arguing Grand Rapids has strong economic and logistical claims while Marshfield pushes for the location. Grand Rapids offers a six to eight acre site worth about $3,000 free if a suitable building is provided, and the county seat status provides easy access for board members and residents alike.

Misses Pierce Packard and Rix hosted a children's party for city school teachers at the high school assembly room Friday night. The guests arrived in children's clothes and played games loved by youngsters, ending in a unanimous vote that the event was a grand success.
