Picture Man Shot During Assault Near Stratford
H J Cordell a canvasser living above Weiland laundry was shot in the left arm by Louise Zettier a 16 year old girl two miles southwest of Stratford while Cordell attempted to assault her. Cordell was amputation at the elbow after being brought to Wausau. Isbell who drove Cordell to Stratford was arrested as a witness. The girl described Cordell’s actions and Isbell’s role while Cordell had a prior unsavory reputation for theft and insulting women.

Automobile Burned Up Near Spencer
E Rosenbaum and Anton Sreckenback were riding Rosenbaum’s car near Spencer when it burst into flames from an unknown cause. The fire started about one mile south of Spencer and destroyed most of the machine as no water was available to fight it. Unburned parts were hauled into town on Monday.
